Aerial for Radio & GPS only

Featured Replies

Is there a shark fin / stubby antenna style roof mounted aerial that does FM/AM radio and GPS without the DAB/GSM/Webasto extras?

I can't seem to find one anywhere but am sure they must exist.

Anyone found one?

Hi mate

6r0035501 is the part number and then different suffix letters give different combinations. I imagine having gps but not gsm or dab is an unlikely combination these days though. You can just leave the unused ones hanging though, ready for a later retrofit....

My car had the FM, GPS and GSM version fitted from factory despite nothing using the GSM socket.

Part number is 6R0035501C if it helps.

Thanks guys.

Ive got a GOS/GSM/DAB/Radio one fitted at present with the DAB & GSM cables fitted and doing nothing.

It just seems pointless to buy a Columbus with SSD and not DAB and have two cables doing nothing.

I could buy a DAB+ Columbus which seem to be a bit cheaper than the non-DAB ones but as where I'm hoping to move to there is no DAB reception.

If there is not much difference between cost of dab and non dab units I would buy the dab one for future proofing - dab may come to your area in a couple of years and if not it might be where you drive on a longer journey, and then there is the resale value of the unit. You will still have an am/fm option.

Fair point Adam.

Especially as the DAB units seems to be cheaper or the same price as non-DAB ones.
