2004 1.2 Jerky when coming off throttle

I have bought my Son a 1.2 Fabia to learn to drive in which has needed a bit of work. One thing i cant seem to sort out is that it does what I can only describe as snatching when off throttle. So If im cruising then come off the throttle I get a couple of jerks from the engine which makes the car dive back and forth on the suspension a bit.

It had a misfire code appear once, I have replaced the spark plugs which were looking very tired and the code hasnt come back since. Compression test shows everything is fine so not a valve problem, oil and filter have been recently changed too so Im at a bit of a loss as to where to look next. Had the codes read and nothing came up.

Is this normal for this engine ? Just feels wrong.

ETA: I have run a tank of fuel through with Injector cleaner too , no change
