Stream aux-in

Featured Replies

I got thoroughly fed up looking for the aux-in connection on my stream radio this weekend. My Skoda dealer can't help and when I email skoda from any number of email addresses, the message gets kicked back by their Spam filter.

So I bit the bullet today and rang them. The girl I spoke to checked on this and said the facility is not officially available and that mine must be an import or have a fault with the radio.

I finally convinced her that this wasn't the case and explained that the function is covered in the manual and menu. I pointed out that this is becoming a bit of an issue with lots of Skoda owners who are angry that the facility to connect in an auxiliary item is not physically available.

She went off to investigate it further but was adamant that Stream & Audience head units do not have this facility.

Just got a call from Skoda. A special adapter will be required. It is presently being developed and should be available by the end of the year. Some hope, more like the end of 2006.

Thought i'd let you all know.

Thanks for the effort johnnyc - lets have a concerted campain here - the more we annoy Skoda about this teh more chance we have of a result.
