Basically is this possible? Like on the passat pd130, the pcv comes out at a different angle to the fabia pd130. Do these rotate in anyway so you could use a passat cam cover on a fabia?

They look like they should but it isn't obvious how (well at least not to me lol).

For anyone wondering I got one for less than a tenner off ebay and am going to spray it up with some odds and ends of paint I have in the garage, then have a look at fitting it. Might try the elephant mod as it might allow a better pipe routing.

Won't the inlet manifold/pipework be in the way?

The passat inlet feeds in from the opposite side to the Fabia.

Yes I have considered this however I will try and see. At worst I'll have lost no more than a tenner on this hiding to nothing! :-)

On paper I was thinking a pipe might just drop down nicely under the 90 degree bend that goes in to the egr. In reality this might be complete *******s lol

I bought this passat one of eBay for a few quid to have a go at painting one or the more expensive option was to get it hydro dipped.

I've scratched mine quite a lot when replacing the turbo some months ago so I thought I'd just get another and then do a straight swap. The passat one was very cheap but I didn't quite appreciate the angle of the PCV outlet would cause me bit of a problem. Other than that though it is exactly the same.

I have just confirmed that it 100% won't fit as it is. As Coskev has said, the outlet on the passat cover is right where the anti shudder valve is.

That's a shame then, at least it's somthing to play around with painting. Might even make a few squid when you come to sell it.
