My son's fabia sdi is dropping oil from the join between engine and gearbox, seemingly only when the engine is running. I am not in a hurry to take the gearbox out to change the oil seal behind the flywheel - what else could be the cause (if anything)?   Where is the PCV valve on the ASY engine, wondering if it could be crankcase pressurisation or something like that.

Well if you think it's crankcase pressure, check the breather pipe is not blocked.

I see reference to the EGR system and I think I know where that is - is that what we are talking about for the sdi ?
