Help With Headlights Skoda Yeti

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

I Own A Skoda Yeti 2014 Facelifte Outdoor Elegance I bought it second handed

and the previous onwner desactivated the halogen bulbs on the headlight via a mod or tweak with vcds or vag com idk really

now only the xenon lights work  and i want to activate the halogen bulbs again is there a way to do that please help me

and thank you

If whatever was done was by VCDS then that is what you need to do to get back to the original position.

I maybe wrong but I think the halogen bulbs are only used if you flash your headlights, it is to save the xenon lights firing up for a short flash, get someone to flash the lights while you look at them.

Halogen and xenon bulbs are both lit on full beam.

On Xenon-equipped FL Yetis:

Lights off - flash is halogen bulbs only

Lights on - flash/high beam is Xenon (adjusted from dipped beam position) and halogen bulbs together.

Pre FL there was no halogen bulb and Xenons did lights off flash and high beam duties.

I was wrong  :x  :D

Sorry to thread hijack but can someone confirm that the halogen bulbs are H7s?

Many thanks

Affirmative!

Thanks both.

I recently upgraded the H7s in TIBET III to Philips X-tremeVision. Now I really don't think lights can get (or rather need to get) any better on a car, superb set up.

Yep that's my intention. Philips or Osram - I think it will be a coin toss to decide.

Probably much of a muchness. I went down the Philips route as they were top in an Auto Express test.

Pretty easy to fit - no need to remove anything like the air filter box, battery, engine, bumper.... Just make sure you get the orientation right and it was fine.

I also followed Gizmo's lead:

and upgraded the front fogs to bright white H8 bulbs. That definitely improved the cornering light beam.
