Moaning Noise from the rear (!)

Featured Replies

Upon reversing in the vRS, ive started to notice a moaning sort of noise coming from the back end somewhere.

Its almost as if the handbrake's been left on slightly, or something like that.

Anyone encountered a similar problem?

Cheers,

Geese

So many replies but not all would help.

Yep it's a common one, most do it at sometime. Do a search and up something will pop (up) that may help with the moaning from your rear

Mine does it ( Octy ) when I touch the brakes whilst reversing .. its the pads just rubbing on the discs moving slightly in the caliper .. mebbe your pads are just contacting the discs slightly ?

or - as you have disposed of next doors dog / cat / child , mebbe its the wife in throws of passion ?! :))

If you getting the usual moaning noise its nothing to do with brake pads.

Oh ...

a sort of a deep note vibration type noise as I touch the brakes ? Doesnt do it whilst reversing and not touching brakes ,, and doesnt do it with firm brake pressure .. only light pressure
