Bolero head unit query?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to connect my smartphone to the Bolero head unit via Bluetooth (or any other means?)

Thanks,

mattlad

My Bolero defaults to my Sony Xperia Z2's music when it doesn't pick up my iPod Touch.

The OP doesn't say what trim level he has, my Elegance has Bluetooth as standard and my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini pairs up and plays music through the Bolero no problem.

Don't know how old or what model your car is but all facelift Yeti's have Bluetooth so if your phone is compatible you can connect, also you should be able to connect via USB or AUX.

Hello again. It is a pre-facelift SE trim.

I cannot see any Bluetooth® symbols on the head unit, when I go into settings I don't get a phone menu come up so I have a feeling that I either need some more bits or an upgraded head unit. I'm sure I have an auxiliary lead somewhere to plug the phone in but I don't think it will magically turn the whole car into a great big telephone! (Which is what I am looking for.)

Anymore advice will be greatly accepted.......

The bluetooth unit is totally separate from the Bolero unit and is fitted under the seat, so that is the unit you would need to buy. I believe the car would also then need reprogramming with VCDS.

Mine's pre FL and I'm a muppet with tech

But pairing is done through the steering wheel control and menu selection I seem to recall.....I might be wrong there as well

On pre face lift SE Bluetooth was an option, not standard (although I think there is still a phone button on the head unit which fooled me when I was looking at buying used). It was only standard on the Elegance pre face lift.
