DSG 1.2 TSI dropping into Limp home mode [Random Missfire]

Featured Replies

Has anyone else encountered this wonderful event with their 62 plate Fabia DSG 1.2 TSi? Mine dropped itself twice into limp home mode. To resolve it I had to turn the engine off wait 30 seconds or so turn engine on back to full power; Skoda has stated it was a random Missfire ????? but there wasn't a main code for limp home.

Secondly the Seatbelt warning for my passenger does not light up again is this common ?

Not sure about the engine light and problem sorry but as for the passenger seat belt. Don't think the passenger seat has a sensor on. Never had one on my car since I've had it, it's a 63 plate Monte.

Get spark plugs changed the lower capacity Tsi's go through them very quick, how many miles has the car done

Have a smoke test on it. It'll be a pipe/vacuum off or split of the turbo.

it's done 39k, I'm trading it in at the end of the month anyhow as I'm finding the seats way too uncomfortable on long trips
