Hi guys l, so I've got a 2004 Toyota Yaris T sport 1.5vvti ( I know it's not a Skoda but no other forum is allowing me to post at the moment).

I recently drove down a ridiculously bumpy road and when I pulled up at the next junction my car was idling really rough. It was hunting between 300-800 rpm however ran fine whilst the throttle was applied.

I pulled over and checked under the bonnet, I noticed a small rubber hose had come free from it's jubilee clip that has since fled the engine bay, the hose looked like it was connected to the air box.

I reattached this hose and the car is now running "better" but as the hose is not clamped on properly I think it is still idling a bit rough.

Do any of you know what this hose is for and called? Pictures will be added to topic.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Many thanks

Shane

This is the hose in question and where it is connected to, any replies would be hugely appreciated.

Cant see the pics but if its going to the airbox then id say its a vacuum hose that needs an airtight connection to create a vacuum

My thought too, unless the brake pedal's got heavy, in which case it's the hose for the vacuum servo.
