I have not long bought a fabia mk1, my first car and I love it. it needed a new starter motor as the old one kept sticking. I have had no problems with it, (its on a 03 plate). The only fault is when it is put into reverse a audible alarm sounds for about 5 seconds. I think its because the rear alarm sensor is not connected properly, the "eyes" have been covered over for some reason, my question is this..How easy is it for a complete novice to disconnect the wiring from said sensors?

should have also said that when in reverse gear, there is a clicking noise coming from the rear of the car. don't know what this is either.

The 'bleep' when selecting reverse gear is indicating that the reverse sensors are now active.
