Complaining to Skoda UK - Anyone had an answer?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone has written to Alasdair Stewart and received an answer from him or been passed on to an underling.  Just about to draft a letter to him about the shoddy customer service I have received from SUK regarding my high oil consumption on my Fabia vRS.  It's been proven now but they are still arguing about whether it should be covered by the warranty.  Just can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone at SUK or from the dealer I went to.

Some have got Communications to Alasdair Stewart Brand Director of Skoda UK.

& done well from it,

After John Good, Tom Chadwick, Dan Wilson, Caroline or some other Customer Services Manager has handled their case.

So have you raised a Case with Skoda UK CS,

& had a Handler Call you, and talk through your circumstances, and start to get the Warranty situation resolved?

I have raised a case with SUK and the dealer is speaking to them now about getting it repaired under my extended warranty (which I purchased from SUK).  However, according to my dealer the warranty people are questioning all the parts they want to use for the breather and spray jet fix.  They told me they'd let me know today what was happening so just got to wait but I'm really cheesed off as I shouldn't be made to jump through hoops to get my car repaired.

Be sure you get everything the Dealership Employees are saying put in Writing.

Skoda Supplied and paid for Warranty Parts and Labour under the Original Warranty,

and it is not very difficult to check the parts used and actions taken, it is all on computer,

& some Skoda Dealership Tech or Workshop Manager signed off on it.

??

Who is the Dealership that seems to want to make something they surely dealt with in the past 5 years more than once

into a total palaver?

The parts required to do the 'Replacement Oil Spray Jets' (Squirters)

are in the 'Pinned' Thread at the top of the page posted by vxh26.

(See post #22 in there for the Part No's)

MilgeS and others have had it done this year.

One member even dropped the car off early in the Morning and had the call to collect it by Lunch Time.

Write it on their facebook page.. Theyll reply in a shot.

The dealer has ordered all the parts and is just awaiting Skoda CS to get back to them and say it's ok to go ahead with the repair.  However, they are now telling me that there is a £250 excess on the extended warranty which I'll have to pay!  I'm sure I saw in another thread here that the repair bill for this only came to £242.  I've called CS myself and they are going to look into it, just getting pushed from pillar to post at the moment.

EDIT.

In the List of Parts, post #22, and then possible Labour and VAT in the Pinned Thread.  (£240 in post #23)

It was £339.80 that is posted by me @ #24.

But ask the Dealership exactly what the parts cost, the materials used and the labour charges.

It should not be difficult for them to give, or for Skoda UK to, they are paying for enough to be done.

** Skoda UK might still be paying out for a New Engine and its replacement,

so New Engine, Plugs, Oil & Filter etc for only the Warranty price and £250 excess is not bad,

Even better with no Excess since Skoda UK should have dealt with it under the Original Warranty,

and likely will if you get a Solicitor involved, or Trading Standards.**

?

Is that the Excess you opted for when you took out the 'Skoda Warranty'?

They are at it,

you do not need the 'Extended Warranty',   Because your Warranty work was started while in the 3 Years Manufacturers Warranty,

and not concluded.

So point out to them, the Fundamental Design & Manufacturing failures,

& they can get a 'Independent Engineers Report done',   They knew the problem last year.

The New Oil Spray Jets might not Resolve the Issues with a Very High Oil User.

They might still be paying to Replace the Engine.

Skoda Customer Services like to say the issue is overblown online, and do not listen to Briskoda

& the likes.
