Possible to get my deposit refunded?

Featured Replies

I have ordered a new car and paid a deposit. The car isn't going to get ordered until December (just so it would be a 16 plate). Is it possible to get a refund of my deposit as I have changed my mind?

I know its a legal binding contract etc but as nothing has been ordered then they have not lost any money. Just don't want to say I don't want it and lose my deposit.

Look at your Order Form, and the T&C's.

& Look at the part about Law etc, and see if it actually refers to Scottish Law,

because a AC Dealership once tried to withhold a Deposit i paid and the paper work had no basis in Scottish Law.

I got Interest as well as well the Deposit Refunded which they had for many months, I asked for 6.8% at the time.

because they were charging that as a finance rate at the time.

They had never ordered the vehicle at the time of taking the deposit.

(i was not wanting to wait, i just was happy at the time of Ordering for the 12 week until the build.)

No car has been ordered so they aren't entitled to keep a penny of your deposit. Just ask for it back and I'm sure they will oblige :-)
