Hello all,

I got my Fabia recently..

It's a 1.4 Elegance,

now what i cant seem to know is the horse power, does it have 75 hp, or 100 hp?? coz in the brochure i found that the 1.4 comes with 75, and 100 Hp..

the car is really fast.. it feels much faster than 13.2 secs from 0-100 km/h.. n yet im running on 17" wheels..

anyways.. i'd like to know wut i should worry about with this car.. parts are very expensive n rare in my country so im kinda worried about that..

It's certainly the 100bhp one - the 75 was only available as an automatic at that time.

check your badge on the back

if it says 1.4 MPI than it's 75 hp if it says 1.4 16v than it's 100 hp

It should be the 100bhp model in Elegance trim, unless it's an auto in which case it's the 75bhp model (and doesn't feel fast at all ). Engines are generally reliable, although some of the sensors have a habit of packing up after the warranty expires :(

EDIT: Hey wait a minute!!!! That's J.J. Thomas' old car! He's modified the exhaust system and had those wheels on with 225/35/17 tyres on them.! I know him because when he was a salesman at Skoda I bought my car from him! And you bought his!

LOL.. ya this is his car.. I dont know him personally, but i was told that this car belongs to a salesman.. n yes.. the exhaust is modiefied n it gives a nice sound.. n the wheels are jus great..

ahh im not exactly in dubai, i live in Sharjah, near the city center..

J.J. is a car freak and does track racing once in a while.

I'm based in Dubai in Garhoud, near Choithram's, but I have Sharjah registration coz I used to live there, and my visa is Sharjah-based too.
