Fogging headlights

Featured Replies

Long time members will remember the grief I had with the passenger side headlight fogging up on my vRS at 10 weeks old, and Skoda trying to claim it was a consumable item and therefore not covered under warranty...

Well, washed the car this weekend and noticed under all the filth, both lamps are misted. Xenon lamps, 500 notes a pop, not keen on forking out for that myself! Car is just over 1 year old, 10k on the clock. Anybody know for sure on the warranty issue? Have emailed Skoda UK a few days ago asking if headlights are covered by the warranty and received a big fat nothing back from them... :(

I'd say they'd be covered, why shouldn't they be? Especially as they're Xenon units and cost you fair amount extra in the first place. If you got grief at an earlier juncture, maybe try another dealer?

Best of luck
