PD100 clutch upgrade - G60?

Featured Replies

On the look for a turbo for my PD100 possibly a pd150 or hybrid etc so I'm also going to uprate my clutch

Car already has a single mass from factory

Will G60 clutch fit my car ?

Yes, I believe so :)

one of the bonus points on the PD100 over the PD130 etc... No 6 speed box means you can play with whatever clutch and flywheel setup you like really.

Any recommendations ?

Also will I have to change my flywheel I've checked the sizes and g60/vr6 and mine clutch are all 228/230mm, so going on that all I should need is pressure plate and friction and new bearing?

even though its a solid flywheel and dont "really wear at all" i would still change it for the one suited to the clutch, being a solid flywheel they can be picked up nice and cheap anyway so for piece of mind youve changed the clutch, flywheel and release bearing.

If you are looking for a turbo and upgrading the clutch it sounds as if you are going for a bit more oomph. Interested to hear what turbo you are going to use.

I have been thinking about an upgraded pd100 Fabia but my main interest is low-down torque, don't want to sacrifice flexibility for bhp above 2500 as I do most of my driving between 1200 and 2500.

Have you had your car remapped?

Some of the standard upgrades on a PD100 are PD130 turbo and injectors, I believe, as they're readily available and cheap. With a remap I think you are looking at around the 170 mark and you can get a custom map so that the power band is lower.

So going on that the part number for my flywheel is 037105273c which also comes back as a G60 flywheel, I should be good to go with a vr6 clutch

just a heads up, you wont need to change the injectors on the pd100 fabia to 130 injectors if youre just going to go for a pd130 turbo.

the 100 injectors will make 170 quite easily.

Also, here is a link to the clutch that you should get. its genuine SACHS and massively reduced. you can also use the code extra10 or even mot10 for an extra 10% off too making it under £100 for a new clutch :)
