Multi-function display queries.

Featured Replies

I've just bought a Fabia SE 1.2 TSI Combi and if I press the button that allows me to change the clock etc, I come across a number with a symbol which is a circle with a fillers in quadrant. I assume this to be days to the next service. But it was serviced in May at 11300 miles ant it has now done 11800. The display says "313" but there are only about 210 days to next May. Have I got this wrong?

And, I'm curious, why does it say "Check Deadlocks" when I turn off the ignition?

The deadlocks message is to warn you of locking people in the car with deadlocks activated...they would not be able to get out the doors!

Thanks, that makes sense now.

Does no one know what the numbers mean? If they are days to the next service they are going up instead of down and I can't make any sense of what the manual says about it.

Can you get us a picture please?

I hope it's there. If I press the left button in sequence I get the options to change the hours, then minutes, and this is next. I see it shows a spanner so it must be something to do with servicing but in the week I've had the car it's gone up from 312 to 320.

I still haven't found the answer. It's now up to 335 (days??)

Length of time since it was last serviced?

You could get the car scanned with VCDS, you could check how long since it was serviced.

If i press my clock setting button, it shows a countdown until the next service, doesnt go up though lol.

Is it on variable or fixed?

That can't be right. It was serviced in May by the main dealer, although it had only done 400 miles since then when I bought it last month due to the ill health of the previous owner.

I expected it to be a countdown but it shouldn't go up if it was. I've no idea if it's on variable servicing although it has been serviced around both anniversaries of its original purchase.
