I am hoping someone can solve this annoying niggle that has occurred?

 

I stayed in a rather nice Hilton Hotel in Cardiff the other weekend and my car was Valet parked. Ever since I got it back from the hotel, my side mirrors do not automatically fold away when I hold down my door lock keyfob. What could of changed? I have set the car to factory settings but no difference!

 

I expect it is something simple to reset that I have overlooked?

You need to reset the one touch for the windows.

Sorry I'm a little dim...these one liners are not making much sense to me!

It tells you in the manual how to reset the windows. Basically sit in car, turn on ignition, lower then raise each window in turn BUT after the window has fully closed keep holding the switch in the UP position for 3-5 seconds. That should do it.

The window switch if  operated can be released and the windows will open or close close.
One of yours has lost that facility (it happens).

Find out what one and hold switch until it closes then release switch, now hold switch up for 4 or 5 seconds and it should have regained the "one touch" operation.
Also after resetting that your mirrors will now fold from the fob.

So helpful, especially if the OP isn't fully up to speed with all the minor operating details of a particular car, to have the solution clearly explained.

I also don't find indirect, oblique, one liners much use (or the other favourite relating to reading the manual).

I don't have this facility but I think you have to do it with both keys. Someone who does have it will no doubt be along soon.

Hmmm...leads me to wonder what the Hotel Valet parker was doing to require it to need resetting....getting his hand stuck in a closing window for instance.
