Hi,

 

I tried a couple of new double pin bulbs but only 1 filament lights up instead of 2 filaments when I put on the fog light.

 

Why is that?

The Passenger side rear fog light doesn't work on an Octavia MKII.

 

I think there's a bulb and it is wired up but it's turned off from the factory.

Ok they should have made it a single pin bulb to avoid the confusion :|

You have to do the coding with VCDS if you want to make both rear fog light work.

It gets even more confusing on some models.

 

My 2008 estate has double filament 21W/5W bulbs (brake/tail & fog/tail) yet my 2007 hatchback had single filament bulbs (the CANBUS altered the brightness for the different functions).
