Flat bottom steering wheel in Fabia 2 VRS Estate ...

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm thinking about doing a few more mods to the VRS estate and I'd like to swop the steering for a flat bottom one from a new Octavia VRS?

Thank in advance :)

Do it then? (:

Going to do mine soon. Got the steering wheel already.

I think the airbag just needs to be the same shape (:

I saw this wheel and thought "I want that!" swmbo has an abarth (thicker wheel more feel, shaped rim,  flat bottom) and my wheel feels poor in comparison..... I DID look at buying the wheel and found it was about £300!! :o

Of course i dont mind you asking, but i dont wanna jinx it because it isnt fitted and working yet haha.

Ive bought a MFSW off a yeti to replace my standard steering wheel. The yeti one is leather, shaped nicely, not flat bottomed but does have piano black on it. Which suits my taste, as i wanted to do my vent and radio surrounds in that colour anyway.

Its off a 2014 yeti with 13k on. Cost me £75. I drove an hour and a half to pick it up (:

Id post a picture but i cant haha.

Oh im hoping (been told. But again, dont wanna jinx haha) that the airbag off my car will fit it, and so would the cover.

But im looking for an airbag cover with piano black around the skoda logo to finish it off. About £30-40 i think..

most things should be interchangeable... I have seat cupra leather seats in my fabia , and with a bit of "shaving" of the connectors with a stanley knife, the computer is happy with the seat seat airbags :)

"say-at" "seets" lol...

The vag family is your oyster then?

Maybe a golf flat bottom one? Audi one?

I just dont like having badges that dont match. Ie, i refuse to have a vrs badge in a car that isnt a vrs. Does my ocd in haha.

Richard (Bossfox) has an Audi steering wheel in his Yeti. Then again not much of it is standard.

Yeah haha.

Wouldnt want an s-line, RS, etc etc badges in a skoda though :D

I dont think all the buttons on this yeti wheel will work tbh.

The yeti doesnt have the buttons on the right stalk like the fabias. Those buttons are on the right hand side of the steering wheel.

Which is better imo.

But theres not alot i can do about that i dont think haha.
