Featured Replies

Hi all I am picking up a skoda fabia vrs 56plate tomorrow which has had a remap and front mount intercooler fitted all ready but what I wanted to know was about thw 312mm brake upgrade.

I have used the search and know what todo just wanted to know what cars brakes are yoy guys using todo this upgrade ie audi tt s3?? Because basically I was going to go to a motor factors and buy the carries and calipers but need a reg of a car todo so..

Plus do these upgrades still fit under the 16inch standard wheels or do I need spacers...

Thank you very much

The brraes can be had from the octy vrs, golf gti anniversary edition, mk1 Audi TT. They bolt straight on and fit under 16" with no trouble at all.

On that kit it don't come with caliper carriers does that mean the calipers will bolt straight onto my standard carriers

No.

Ones lucks other is ate.

If you want rears make sure you don't get 4x4 ones from the audis

Octavia vRS brakes are what I have front and rear. Much better over std

So ill need the carriers todo front and same if u choose todo rears also

Plus are u talking about the mk1vrs Octy or mk2 octy

mk1 mate

the rears you'll need carriers and callipers from a FWD car only or you need to space the rears where the carriers bolt onto the rear beam, hence its easier to just get FWD ones. Rears are vented on the mk1 Octavia vRS 256mm where std fabia vRS rears are solid

Fronts wise, 312mm front brakes off the GTi anni, Octavia vRS mk1 All Audi TT's iirc pos a few others, you will need the carriers off one of them with 312mm brakes, but you can use callipers from them or the 288mm Octavia and leon cupra callipers will also work I do believe so long as they are ATE no Lucas like the std fabia ones are.

The kit I linked to does come with carriers and it's a straight bolt on swap - the brake pipes are a little snug but perfectly fine. You'll have to cut off the wear indicator lead as the MK1 vRS doesn't have that setup.
