Anyone know how I can get to the side light bulb on a 2008 Skoda Fabia estate please?

Cheers.

What does RTFM mean?

Engine is 1.4 TDi

Means Read The F'ing Manual.

Remove the rubber cap from the rear of the light unit, identify the sidelight and pull sharply away from the unit. Do not pull the wires, pull the very small plastic holder. It's very tight fit so takes some strength. Some people use long nose pliers and I've heard of people using a crocodile clip.

It's a somewhat impolite acronym. Stands for Read The F Manual.

I found it a lot easier to change the sidelight bulbs by putting the steering on full lock to facilitate access through the wheel arch liner.

From memory there are 3-4 screws (torx) in each side, pull down and access the rear of the bulb holders.

WARNING!!! be very careful not to drop the bulb through the aperture into the headlight unit.

Thanks guy's.

Or get the techies at Skoda to do it... An hours labour at £75 though it took ten mins, a fiver for the bulb, which cost 99p, then the VAT.

Vat'll- oops, sorry, That'll be £96 please gov'nor... Sorry, I have no change, shall I just make it a round hundred!  LOL.

No, really, I just got a set of picks off eBay and used one of those to gently pull the holder, after previously going through the wheel arch liner messing about waste of time pain in the friggin butt routine. they look a little like screwdrivers, except some are bent over and have pointy ends. I used the most severely angled one and pulled against the plastic holder gently until it popped off. Take care not to slice the loom or you'll wish you went with my first suggestion!
