312mm and 256mm upgrade questions

Featured Replies

Could anyone help me I've got a 312mm and 256mm caliper setup I'm wanting to fit braided brake lines do fabia lines reach and have same fitting or have I got to use mk1 Octavia lines and fittings?

I used HEL Fabia braided lines and they worked with 312s on my Mk1.

They don't do a kit for fabia mk2 there's 6 lines As Well instead of 4

IIRC there are 6 flexi sections on the Mk1 and Mk2, but the only ones you replace with braided lines are the front two and the 2 from the body to the axle. The final flexi section is braided from the factory and part of the axle mounted brake pipe so not replaceable on its own.

Will find reference in the morning if you've not found it before then :)

Oh right sound so a fabia kit does reach and has the right fitting for the 312mm and 256mm caliper

I thought it was Sparkly but can't find it in his thread. He used HELs on the front but no other mention :( He's not been on since August so doubt he could comment :(

Can confirm the Mk1 has 6 flexi sections in total but only 4 are replaced by the HEL kit, the final one is built in to the pipe on the rears.
