Is it possible to determine the build date/week from the VIN?

Just got the lease contract through and wondered if it'd be possible to see if it just falls in with the Amundsen being fitted as standard.

Model year only I think - but was free Amundsen upto end MY15?

Get the Skoda Service App on your phone - put your VIN in there - and it'll tell you the date of manufacture (I don't know if it's the date they put the "chassis" together or the date they completed it - but I'd imagine it's when they assign the VIN to the particular piece of metal. Either way - it's THAT week !!)

Don't know the exact dates but I think I just missed out. I ordered on the 4th September and have had it a week now. I specced smartlink just incase

I thought the Amdundsen offer ran out for cars ordered after the end of June?

Been told today that my Race Blue VRS is due for delivery early December!! Excited lots! :-)

I chased this up as mine is a week 44 build (26/10/15) so same week as yours I'm guessing. Skoda said they were fitting the Amundsen as standard as of week 45 (02/11/15) and said the only way of guaranteeing my car would have it would be to cancel my order and re-order but I wasn't going to do that... Would have been a nice free-be but as I didn't spec it in the first place I'm not all that bothered, just a tad annoying that I missed out on it by a matter of days. You might be lucky though keep your fingers crossed.

Picking mine up a week today! This week is going to drag.

Getting frustrated now! Apparently the car was due into the dealers last week so I expected to hear something today but nothing! :-(

On the lease contract I had a couple of weeks ago it says the car will be registered as new 30/11/2015 so I'm really hoping I'll hear something tomorrow!!

Aaaarrrrgggghhh!!!!

Just seen an email from the lease company say the car is set for delivery from the 8th December onwards!! Feels like ages away! lol

At least I now know it'll be next week sometime :-) :-)

So that'll 11 weeks from order
