Any recommended dashcams?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm after a good quality dashcam that records continuously so if i park my car somewhere it would still record. I'm saying that because i know most of them record before and after an impact etc and i just need one that will be recording constantly and has good quality. It will be connected to my lighter socket which has constant power even when the car is off. Just need some suggestions of make and model of dashcams please.

Thanks

Fixed to aid accurate search for one.

Buy from someone you'll find it easy to return to.

The Chinese built ones seem to be a bit hit or miss.

I had problems with the charger on mine (interference blocked the radio) but it was easy to return to Amazon.

I bought the Mio Mivue 538 deluxe which seems to tick your requirements. As it has GPS it also has built in safety camera database with a free lifetime updates. You can download the user manual from Mio's site which will show all the functionalities.

Thanks guys, my budget is probably up to £50 and have seen a few on Amazon but have mixed reviews so yes, they seem to be hit and miss.

I have a E-Prance G1W and although its not high end it performs well in my opinion. The thing is if you find it a bit hit and miss you can always return it for a refund, so you cannot lose.

You said you wanted "good quality" in your first post. Not within a budget of £50. Go to £75 and get a Transcend 100, or 200, or a Mio 508.
