Road Angel Halo in-car dual camera

Featured Replies

Currently contemplating buying a dual camera in-car system for my Fabia. Looking about and I've come across the Road Angel Halo setup. It seems to have very good reviews typically, and is currently priced at about £190. This seems like an absolute bargain compared to the Blackvue which is around £280.

Features wise, the Road Angel is very similar to the Blackvue - main differences being the lack of Wi-fi mode and slightly lower resolution.

Has anyone any real feedback on this system please?

Thanks :)

I have had the Halo for about 10 months. Found it to a good system. It has an annoying glitch, after about 8 weeks of use it begins to shut down and restart constantly. It is easily cured by removing and formatting the sd card. Its then good for another couple of months. The software it comes with is easy to use.

The instructions state if you want to hardwire the power you need to order another power cable, but if you remove the cig lighter plug from the standard power cable the permanent live and ignition live wires are soldered together. Separate them and connect to appropriate feeds through a fuse and you get the parking mode etc.
