  1. I see a few cars with P0441 fault come in. Generally 1.0 ltr or 1.5 . Test plans on Odis always check for a software update but generally prove inconclusive. Normally replace the valve with pipework and on certain 1.0ltr engines replace the intake elbow on the turbo. Always remove and weigh the Charcoal filter. common for these to become saturated with fuel. VW recommend when filling fuel tank to stop when the pump clicks off and do not fill further.
  2. Hi do you have the ability to read measured value blocks?. If you can what are the figures for measured and calculated soot?.
  3. Much easier if you fit the dashboard light sensor, follow Wirers guide https://wirer.sk/easy_light/
  4. 0W20 should not be used in your engine. It is not backwards compatible. It will be easy to tell if they have used this oil because it is green in colour. They may have just booked the wrong oil to the job. This oil is more expensive though. I would be straight back to dealer getting correct oil.
  5. You are correct I am a Master tech but no longer at a Skoda dealership, Now at a VW dealer. The Goodwill system which dealers have access to is designed primarily in situations like yours. It’s a range of tools to help loyal customers. The VW system is a little different to Skoda but the point I am making is it’s a tool to help loyal customers, not people who decide to have their vehicles maintained outside of the network regardless of where the parts are sourced.
  6. You have posted numerous times about your Fabia problems but my point still stands, why would you expect Skoda or the dealer to repair your car when you are not a customer?. Just another forum member who wants to complain and belittle the dealerships because they don’t want to pay for your repairs. It’s the poor staff at the dealership I feel for when they see you walking in
  7. Is the Fuel ok, had a couple of cars recently with water in fuel. Both had random multiple misfires
  8. Calm down all that underlining will give you a repetitive strain injury?.
  9. If you worked in sales then you will have absolutely no idea how 90% of a dealership works. Both items reported at your service were described as a slight leak and slight play. Would be interesting just how slight.
  10. Just one question if I may, why on earth would you expect a dealership to make a good will contribution to your repair costs?. You have stated you don’t use them for service. This is something that I see a lot working in a dealership and it baffles me why you would expect a dealership after sales department to assist in paying for repairs when you are not a customer of that department.
  11. I do like the new design but if you remove the rear Skoda roundel there is an indentation and the new design badge would not cover it.
  12. When a customer contacts a dealer and makes a booking a Diss report should be created detailing the complaint. Once this is created a BA ID number is assigned . This report can then be completed if the complaint is rectified and is recorded as a quality report. The dealership can also submit a technical support request using the generated BA ID and tech support can escalate the same report to the factory. The Diss report also has other uses as well. It is a requirement for any warranty claims as when a diagnostic session is ended and sent online it is allocated to the BA ID
  13. Vehicles with keyless starting are heavier on the key batteries because the key responds to the vehicle transmitting a signal by transmitting Back. This occurs periodically whilst you are driving, whereas a normal ignition key transmits to unlock/ lock the vehicle but the signal from the immobiliser transponder in the key is powered by an induced voltage.
