Suggestions for how to fit aftermarket USB

Featured Replies

Hiya,

I've recently purchased an Audiosources DS-820 head unit, and love it!

The unit comes with twin USB cables, so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how/where to fit these and, if they are in the dash somewhere, how to finish them nicely rather than just leaving the cables poking through.

Thanks,

Chris

fitted a usb to the centre of the three blanks on the dash just above the ash tray.  simply removed the blank ,cut a slot to take  the male usb and glued the female usb to the back of the blank using a lot of apoxy resin waited for the resin to set then replaced the blank.all that shows is the slot.

I ran my ANS 810 leads into the glovebox.. got a rubber grommet from halfords to make it all tidy and just leave the USB key plugged in there
