Bolero Radio

Featured Replies

Hi, I was wondering would it be possible to retrofit the Bolero Radio to a 13 Reg Octavia Active? Would the space be there?

A Mark 2?

Hi Gecko, its a Mark 3 actually so I think the space would definitely be there.

It was the "Active" that puzzled.

Is that the lowest trim level in Ireland, equivalent to UK S level? Because AFAIK even poverty spec Mk 3 Octavias had a Bolero from launch, at least in the UK.

Base Australian cars had the non-touchscreen, monochromatic "Swing" audio system at launch, so Irish cars may as well.

The swap is possible, but probably not easy. There are multiple modules and some difficult anti-theft programming that must be overcome. For that effort it probably makes more sense to go all-out Columbus.
