skoda fabia exhaust routing

Featured Replies

hi all i have recently brought a 2001 fabia comfort and i want to make it look like a vrs for now until i have the time and money to do an engine swap does anybody know if the exhaust on my 1.4 16v will use the same rout as the vrs exhaust? i know the vrs exhaust would need a bit of welding to fit already

The 16v exhaust goes under the sub frame as the exhaust ports are on the front of the engine, while the vRS exhaust goes over the top of the sub frame (the subframes are different to allow this). From there back its the same though.

I know a lad who bought a Ibiza FR TDI cat back from me and fitted it to his 1.4 16v, so can be done :) (Ibiza is identical under there to the Fabia)

thanks for your help :)

The tips may not line up properly with the bumper. Fabia's bumper protrudes a little further than the Ibiza one I think. Get one from a vRS and it will line up properly if you have a cut out bumper. Will need some sort of reducer to fit as the 1.4 will have a smaller exhaust pipe coming out of the CAT.

Or get a custom cat back made up with your engine swap aim in mind.
