Any difference between the standard recirc valve and these forge and baileys uprated ones? (In relation to performance/noise)

Nowt wrong with standard, will still give a nice tone especially with panel filter or cai. Forge and such require tuning (proper spring selection) and servicing. Unless you're going high end of stage 2 and/or uprating turbo I'd say there's little point in anything other than standard. Forge will be louder. Do recirc only, these aren't keen on blow off valves as all air is metred.

May I quote a chap at CR Turbos who know their onions 'most forge stuff is junk'. Still each to their own, but forge need proper set up, standard is fit and forget.

It does a bit and will be a tad louder, but it's a trade off for the hassle of set up and service. Mine was loud enough for me with standard, my 007 caused problems, although I believe a revised piston has cured some of the typical leakage problems, think you get it in new service kits. As well as springs you can use shims if you're in between preload, if all this makes the forge sound like it's too much hassle that probably means it is. They are nice though...
