Hi all - If the car is in vRS mode should the button be green or orange? If I select vRS mode the button is orange, eco mode it's also orange.  In normal mode it's green? Confusing

VRS mode doesnt really exist....most Octavias have performance mode selection which has four settings regardless of the car...normal, sport, eco and individual.

The very earliest vRS's didnt have the sound generator...typically all vRS's apart from v early ones diesel or petrol have it.

From experience....

Eco....off

Normal....barely audiable but still on to some degree

sport...100% output

On later cars you can adjust the sound generator output in Individual mode between Eco (off), Normal (quiet) and Sport (loud) but could only alter via throttle mappings on earlier cars.

It can however be adjusted/disabled via VCDS or disconnected entirely by opening up the front scuttle plate and pulling its wiring on an earlier car if you find it annoying.

I disconnected the sound generator 10 minutes after collecting it new from the dealers!
