Connecting Samsung S5 to media centre

Hi I've got a 2012 VRS with the media connection to allow my phone to play music throu the radio. It worked fine with my iphone 4s but when I got the new connecting cable from Skoda to plug my new Samsung S5 into the radio it dosn't play & I get the message on my phone saying it does not reconnise the media program connected to it. Went into Skoda to find out if there was a download for it but there responce was to ask on here as they have no idea. Anyone come across this problem before & if yes whats the fix. Cheers
