Nees to make sure your phone is visible to all users.

then, if its like the bt in our crap work vans, it asks you to enter the code shown on the radio into your phone. Except they never display the code, so tou make one up and it tells you its wrong try again with a code shown... may be something similar?

Try 0000 and see what happena next..

Edit : the above presumes you have blue tooth on your fabia... i cant see any vehicle detail so ive no idea what standard head unit your running..

Most BT codes default to "0000" or "1111"

Stupid, isnt it?? You cant even change them on a lot of radios!!

Very unlikely a 2000 reg Fabia has a BT compatible radio, unless replaced.

What make & model head unit is it?

fABIA mk2, got me, then I did a google, and on Briskoda(surprise) I found this "19 Feb 2012 - Skoda Fabia I: Includes all models of the Mk1 Skoda Fabia, up to the 2007-2015 Mk2 Skoda Fabia." .

So it's not a MK2, BUT MK1, as mine. Looking through the Audio manual, suggests to me that no vehicle in this range will work with a phone, unless there's a car kit fitted. But that's on the factory fitted radio, which is sent the code from the ECU. But phone in car is last of my interests. As is Sat Nav. I've got a multi tasking navigation/communications /unit that performs a lot of other functions whilst I'm driving . Called SWIMBO.
