P0171 then all misfire codes

Featured Replies

Mk1 octavia vrs threw out a p0171 code so i cleared it from the ecu and the car sounded like a bag of spanners on idle. I continued to drive the car and suspected a leaking vaccuum pipe. Then it threw up codes for misfire on all but one cylinder. However i have just had the coilpacks done under the recall at the stealers so im putting it down to the split pipe. Yesterday i was driving and the car just cut out at a junction so i parked it up at home and left it.

Anyways i was thinking of getting it down the road and calling the aa to see if they could fix it by the roadside due to my limited mechanical skills and the lack of garages open over the next two days.

Anyone have any advice?

Did the Technician check all the spark plugs and gap, and have you since?

Ignition Coil Recall and replacement does not ensure that the plugs are all good.

Ive tracked the fault to a vac hose on the bottom of the inlet manifold that has split. Just waiting untill tomorrow to get it down the garage and change the hose over. Should it be ok to drive?
