Water collecting in door frames

Anyone experienced water collecting at bottom of drivers and passenger doors in sill area.

When I open the doors there is a torrent of water dumped on the ground. Doesn't affect driver or passenger but my concern is what happens when this water freezes.

I haven't approached Skoda yet.
