Quick maps update question

Recommended Posts

I updated to the latest 2016 mapping over the weekend but have noticed that there are now a lot of blank rectangles all over the screen.

Any ideas as to what hasn't updated correctly?

I downloaded the maps on to my MacBook Pro. Unzipped the contents. Deleted the 2 files on the SD Card and replaced them with the 2 new files from the download.

I'll do a screenshot if nobody has a clue what I am talking about!

:-)

It's because you're using a Mac - it puts a bunch of hidden files on there which the head unit doesn't understand - happened to me. There's a link on here somewhere that explains what to do... I'll try and dig it out for you..

Here you go - exact same issue and my fix post no.22

If you're confident with using the Terminal app you can locate all hidden files and delete them...

Try here

Thanks for the replies.

I used my VIN number for the download so hopefully the files are correct.

I also have hidden files visible all the time and carefully deleted the two files from the card and replaced with the two identical named files.

I'll have a read of the links you have provided and see if the suggestions work.

Thanks again.
