"Self-opening" windows

Featured Replies

About once every six months, I find that all the windows in my Superb sitting on my drive have suddenly opened themselves.

I suspect that I've inadvertently depressed a combination of buttons on the key-fob, perhaps when it was squashed in a tight trouser pocket.

Have others experienced this, please, and is there  way to stop it happening? I'm worried it might happen in a downpour and wreck the interior.

Thanks,

Stuart

If you press and hold the open button on tbe key fob when approaching the car it will open the windows so you've probably inadvertantly done this after locking the car, but while you're still in range. Have a look on the maxidot disply menu if you have one as you might be adle to disable the function. Failing that if you really don't want it someone with vcds should be able to code it out for you. Alternatively just be a bit more careful with your keys after locking tbe car. HTH

It's in the maxidot menu, convenience mode or something like that. I always disable it on the VAG cars I have owned for the reasons you have stated
