Tdi vrs estate lunges

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have recently got myself a 14 plate vrs estate and love it, however I have noticed very occasionally when traveling at a constant speed the car sometimes lunges as if the clutch has been depressed for a split second. I haven't heard the engine noise change and haven't been quick enough to look at the revs either.

Has anyone experienced this or know what it could be?

Thanks.

if you have the driving mode set to Eco the gearbox will drop into neutral if you lift off the throttle. Its caught be out a couple of times as when you get back on it the revs can drag the car a little as the revs match your speed.

Its been mentioned on the forum before, I believe its something to do with the EGR valve opening/closing.

Its nothing to worry about :)
