One key. Need to pair remote locking

Hello,

I had some issues with the convenience module in my 6Y Fabia Classic, so I replaced that and copied my settings over using VCDS. 

The only issue I have now is that the key no longer unlocks the car using the buttons on the fob. I've tried the remote fob sync in this guide but not a lot seems to be happening.

Any ideas where I could be going wrong here?
