Hi all, ive got an octavia 2006 vrs and have just noticed that there is a square bit of trim missing below the headlight, there is one below the other headlight, its about 2 inches by 2 inches it looks like it just clips into the hole. I was wondering where would I get one from and what would I ask for. sorry if it seems like a daft question but my Octavia looks like its got a tooth missing.

Hi Dawn,

 

It is a cover for the headlight washers as your car is equipped with the factory cost option - xenon headlights.

 

When the headlights are turned on and you wash the windscreen the caps pop out on stalks and project screenwash onto the headlights. The headlight washers only operate every 3-5 times you wash the windscreen though, they don't operate every time...

 

 

They are easily lost if something hits them or they are loosened in the car wash etc. They simply clip on to the stalks that hold the washer jets.

 

New ones are readily available, here is one direct from a Skoda main dealer via eBay, £11 delivered...

The only problem is they all come supplied in primer, it will need painting to match the colour of your car.

 

Assuming your vRS is in the best colour (Race Blue ) you'll need these too...

As Silver says.

you can get them from skoda pretty cheap but they dont come painted. Skoda can paint them but charge a fortune.

 

Mine went walkies so I bought one from skoda, had some race blue made up and sprayed it my self. Yes its not a perfect match due to fade of the rest of the car but it doesnt stand out like a sore thumb
