Hi chaps,

My front suspension has started to creek when I go over speed humps (particularly the aggressive ones) but it doesn't make the noise going over potholes (I live down a farmers track so some are the same depth as a speed bump is high!

To me it sounds like a bush that's creeking, possibly the top mount or that big console bush.

is there a common cause of this?had abit of a look online and it seems that the console bushes often wear out ?

What year is your 1.4tdi and have many miles have you done? I have this issue on mine but it's not the console bushes, infact mine is a 59 plate and doesn't have console bushes. Unit 18 garage (well respected) stated these were fazed out on the fabia.

I have a 57 reg (an early mk2 Fabia) mine look like they are the same console bushes as on a mk1, I've done 55k about 20k in my possession and I live down a farmers track which I guess does not help !

Won't be top mount, I'd suspect consoles or ARB bushes

If its got console bushes.

Its not the first time ive heard that later models dont have them, but i cant be sure.

1.4 TDI so between about 57 and 60 iirc

57 plate it is, and it does have them.

I haven't actually seen the car in the day or dry to have a look underneath, if it were to be Arb bushes, would I not hear it on both sides? As I can only hear the passenger side making noises.

From previous work I've done on the car I do remember console bushes been on
