Hello, just acquired my first Skoda. An Octavia estate (does Combi apply to an Octavia?). Its a diesel DSG (BKD engine) with 209,000 miles on a 2006 plate. Appears to have been well serviced, with lots of receipts, but needs a damn good clean. Its the L&K trim in cream leather with Black Magic pearlescent paint, which is dull as dish water at present.

Having said that, its really lovely to drive. I've come from a 99/2000 VW Golf Mk 4 diesel auto with Winter Spec. A nice solid car that never really gave any problems 'til recently, when all manner of electrical/electronic grumbles started to reveal themselves.

I plan to have the car fully serviced by a local independent mechanic. Also looking forward to any GTGs that might be happening within sensible reach of Hampshire.
