Temp gauge on my Octy vrs is playing up.It raises as normal then every now and again it drops back to 0 then raises again. Can anyone post a pic of where it is under the bonnet. Anyone got part no. Cost? Is this a common fault? I have checked the water level and the heaters are working fine so I think it's the sensor!! Also what sort of price's have people been paying for there 40k service on the Vrs? just been quoted

Changed mine couple of weeks ago.

ilost quite a bit of coolant when i changed mine, also lost a fair patch of skin

i will repeat this everytime a thread comes up as i can honestly say its a very unpleasant experience and also quite painfull. make sure your engine/coolant is cold when you change the sensor

Temp guage in my Furby PD100 is doing the same thing - was it definitely the sensor that caused it? (Garage have looked at it a couple of times but because it's intermittent they haven't seen it go wrong, but they didn't think it was the sensor).
