Hi people

After much searching for a car with good build quality and MPG we settled on a fabia, but took ages finding a decent one. We bought one yesterday with 50k on the clock 2001 Y reg and its an Sdi.

Its going to be used for mostly motorway driving by the girlf.

One thing I noticed was its total lack of get up and go. Is there anything that can be done farely easily that wont make it drink diesel and give it a bit more guts??

I dont want to start changing exhauts etc.

The SDI Is not turbocharged, so unfortunatley there probably arn't any/many chip tuning options for it. I dont think that there is much that can be done, but omeone may pop along and hopefully correct me. Until then drive like an Italian and put your foot down ! Hope your Mrs Enjoys her new car

Green filter may add a couple of bhp ...but apart from that nothing cheap

You can get tuning boxes for the SDI Have a hunt on eBay or look at Dragon's web site (www.mrhoot.com)

Fuel economy may actually improve with one of those on when driving normally as you can use a higher gear due to the extra power and torque
