Dented door on Octy

Featured Replies

Parked up in the dark last night to see the school play (that time of year again) and didn't notice an 'orrible metal bollard right next to the rear door. So when the boy got out there was an almighty clonk and I've now got a smallish dent, just above the handle. The first blemish in 3 1/2 years so I'm pretty gutted. The paint hasn't chipped so that's a mercy, still got some black flakes from the bollard embedded in the varnish though.....

I will probably try to remove the card and bash it out from inside but wondered if anyone else had tried this and whether or not it worked. I don't think it will just pop out and be invisible again, so not even sure if it's worth it. But what do you think?

Depending on location you may not be able to get to it from behind. If it wont pop out then its not even worth trying. Bashing it will make it look worse.

edit. chipsaway can remove the type of dent you have

I agree with Manny. Get it done professionally or leave alone.

...but don't bother with 'Dents Plus Ltd', a national that you'll find in the Yellow Pages.

Thanks for the advice lads, I'll give Chipsaway a call and see what they quote. Didn't fancy taking the card out anyway....
