I have done a search but can't find any reference to this topic.

On December 15th, the DVSA sent an email to all MOT testers informing them that excessively stretched tyres are now an MOT failure, and may also invalidate insurance. The document showed examples of unacceptable rim/tyre combinations. About time too.

    Not only do they look ugly (at least IMO) but there's also the question of the bead breaking on a bump or a sharp corner.
