Reversing camera install

Featured Replies

I don't know if it is low or high. If high, it is not calibrated from factory for sure. To calibrate, You need ask the dealer to do it for You.

Otherwise it is difficult to do it Yourself. For sure You need VAGCan Pro for this and knowledge how to do it.

Any chance of doing a write up on the bits needed and how you did it.

Yes, I've missed this topic. Beside the parts I showing on the photos, it is need to change the adaptation channels in BCM as following

Adaptacje BCM, login 31347:
IDE02711-ENG112304-Rear Window Wiper-Heckwischer,logikgesteuert
IDE02711-ENG114946-Rear Window Wiper-Komfortwischen Heck,active
IDE02711-ENG116689-Rear Window Wiper-Menuesteuerung Komfortwischen HW,active

In Module 16 Byte 0 bit 2 active.

In case of questions just let me know:

As the stalks are little expensive, there is an option to buy cheapest one from Octy, Golf etc. and replace the part on photo.

Other solution would be just cut the blocking plastic in it.

This is the problem...my local dealer for shure it will not know to do it.

They don't know if the vertical lines will move or will be static...they sad only the part is original and that's it ...0 info! I have doubt that they have the tools to calibrate cameras.

I want to confrunt and force them to calibrate but i need to know for shure if this is possible or not.

So if they will not be ableto do it, i was wondering if you can help me calibrate myself, with the help of an friend who has vag and so on.

Regards

99% it is low type. Sobno need calibration. If I would recommend - just buy highline, used one. No calibration is needed then.

I cannot help you in this. Mine was calibrated online by the other person.

The car is brand new...so i don't want to lose warranty.

I have to do it only on skoda, and i need a brand new one for ensurance update.

Can you help me with a code for the part?

I wallready have payed the order but i am thinking to cancel it.

Regards

Simply ask for quotation from Skoda and pay for it then. Don’t worry about it. It is not your job to understand what they will do it. Regarding the warranty, you will not loose it because of installing camera  Yourself.

Maybe in your country :)....here i will lose it.

If i let them, i will habe a static camera.

I don't think this is what i want.

Have you seen both? The fifference is major?

Regards

I have lowline on my octy RS, wifes car. There is a difference.

Will you be kind to give me pictures with both to send them to my dealer?

Regards

What kind of picture ???

Of the display, not the camera itself.

Thanks

have you google.com available ?

Ok. I will search on the web. You could just said no.

Sorry for asking.

@Enriquez i have found a dealer in my country...at 300km away from me :(....who confirmed that the camera is exactly the one from the factory.

They can also calibrate it and it looks that is the "high" version. Part number 3V0 054 634. There is no low or high...is the only one as original part.

I have ordered it and i will come back with pic after install.

ps...also skoda-parts.com confirmed that it is "high" according with pictures i have sent them.

Thanks.

So. Good luck. Waiting for results.
