Roof box options with L&K

Featured Replies

What are the roof box options and associated costs for the Yeti and in particular would the sunroof of the L&K cause any problems?

Many thanks.

I don’t own any roof bars so cannot confirm it for sure, but the sunroof when open does not stick up very far, and certainly not as high as the roof rails so I would say you would be fine.

Would you really open the sunroof with a top box fitted anyway? I can see the point of tilting it but not opening it as a bloody big roof box will be there so affecting the airflow and probably pushing the air into the rear of the car??

think skoda bars are the only ones which allow the roof to fully open, they stand quite high in comparison to other makes - do a forum search

Thanks guys - just thinking about the options in how to transport family and luggage on holidays - not looking to open sunroof but one of the little cherubs might muck about with buttons etc...

I tried the low profile Thule bars (sorry, I don't remember the model) and when opening the sunroof, it would hit the claws of the attached roof box. Needless to say I returned them and got the original Skoda ones.

just get the skoda ones. looks better and you know they'll work.

Hi BA,  if your concern is little fingers playing with the sun roof controls while top box fitted,

you could always take out the fuse for the sun roof.

It's No 27 on mine.

You could always use the T-bar attachment rather than the claws, meaning no extra depth below the bars.
