is that saying BKD OR BND  is there any way of telling what engine this octavia has ??

cheers brad

BKD

BND engine code doesn't exist

In preFL Octavias in 2006 were only 2 2.0 diesel engines fitted, BKD and BMN (I think) so this one is BKD.

Slightly off-topic: Isn't that sticky label also duplicated in the service schedule book too?

Yes, both come in the boot in a new car. You peel one off and stick it in the inside cover of the service book (when they had one) and the other leave on the book floor.

The engine code is also on the chassis plate in the door shut and on the cambelt cover.
